Since the age of 14 Mat has been mixing , skratching and making mixes – beats , spanning many genres and styles but always having one thing in common – heavy beats and bass lines which appeals to a wide variety of crowds.

In 1995 mat moved to whistler Canada to pursue his new addiction of snowboarding. Described by Knowledge Magazine as ‘awe-inspiring’ & ‘some next level shit.’ Mat has toured across the globe and performed in 14 countries from Miami to Moscow at Sports events such as the US Supercross , Olympic Games (Torino & Whistler) , X Games & many of Canada largest festivals of up to 15,000 people, also pioneering club nights in Whistler & Vancouver and held down a bi-weekly club night in Las Vegas at Eye Candy (Mandalay Bay).

The official summer kick off party is almost here, and what better way to follow up the summers biggest outdoor electro show with a world class after-party hosted by the unstoppable alliance of Sapphire Nightclub and Flipside.

The stars must’ve been aligned just right when Nick van de Wall (better known as Afrojack) saw his first ray of light. Music was his first love since his early youth. The world heard more and more from Afrojack and in 2009 David Guetta noticed Afrojack’s talent. They decided to meet up in the studio, which resulted in ‘Toyfriend’ and an Afrojack remix of Guetta’s track ‘Sexy Bitch’. Afrojack also played at David Guetta’s ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’-events. In 2011 Afrojack was rewarded with the respectable Grammy award for the remix of Madonna’s ‘Revolver’ in collaboration with David Guetta. Respected by his colleague DJ’s for his production skills and loved by clubbers for his dancefloor bombs and energetic performances, Afrojack is setting new standards in the industry.

Sapphire & the UBCO Nursing Course Union presents Nurses Night Out

Come out and support your local nursing students while having a great time!! This night will be featuring DJ AK, and El Jimador shots for $4.75 on special.
